Daily Readings for Catholics 4+

Hello Lord you bring joy to all who listen and rejoice in your teachings. Our hearts share the graces you have offered to all. Let our minds understand your words to give us strength in our lives to understand we are in charge of our direction as we give praise to the graces we receive from you. Should we feel not worthy, as we are human, offer up our thoughts, words, and sufferings.
Today is another gift to celebrate our faith with the Lord and share our Love of Christ with others. Kindnesses are warming to many voices saying their praises to you on this Day of Prayer. Amen

I add to my praises to Our Lord I’m grateful to the Warriors of prayer who are praying for my vision to be restored with a new membrane inserted within my eye to keep growing. I have a rare disease in my eyes at 78. I will offer up to Christ my suffering if any more come. Perhaps it’s a way for him to say I am in charge of prayer to celebrate his glory with me. I love you Lord as I offer up My Rosaries for prayers to unborn Children, souls in purgatory, Priests and religious, marriages and families. Mother Mary pray for us.

I just love this app. Not only did it provide the daily Mass readings, but it provides a wonderful commentary. What I REALLY love is the commentary. These are written by saints and Church fathers. I often find their insights to be so illuminating, thought provoking, incisive. I usually have something worthy to ponder each day. There is also something very powerful about seeing that sermons written almost 2 thousand years ago share many of the struggles we have today. Now this marvel exists in the Bible, but is perhaps not as shocking because the Bible is inspired word from an eternal God. But it is very moving to feel such a connection to Saints and believers so many years ago. It is wonderful to not just know the names and sometimes life stories of certain saints, but to actually read their words and feel the power in them.

This has been my saving grace. I look forward to my morning readings to guide me. My family has been going through many struggles and as I was seeking answers, I happened upon this app. It has brought me closer to God and much comfort. I find answers and wisdom from these daily readings. I’ve always thought myself a good person but I was blind and not aware of the handbook in front of me that would make it so. As we continue to struggle I can whether this stage with dignity as through His word, He is with me every step of the way. I’m taking this difficult journey with God but our side. I’m doing my best to interpret, understand and learn from the life lessons he is teaching me along the way. May this app continue to open my eyes to God’s plan so I can do what he is asking of me. I am forever his servant.
