Great app with a few areas for improvement

Sometimes the app glitches a little bit and pauses when I try to scroll down, is a little slow to load, and sometimes is hard to see full images. Otherwise great app, and I appreciate being able to read the paper on my phone & iPad!

Energetic Local Coverage

The Daily Sentinel is really devoted to covering local news and issues well. It does an exemplary job of giving voices to thoughtful citizens in its letters features. (Unfortunately, its “You Said It” weekly feature, devoted to anonymous posts from readers, makes our whole town look like idiots.)

The Sentinel’s coverage of local institutions is generally quite good. It fills its important role of investigative reporting well for a paper of its size in this day and age (of financially beleaguered print news media). More reporters with more resources would always be nice, so do your part by subscribing.

Love the online paper

I have subscribed to the Daily Sentinel for over 20 years. I love to read the paper when I get up at 5 am every morning. Trouble was I had to trek down my 1/4 mile driveway to retrieve the paper and sometimes it was not there. Now all I have to do is open the app and read the exact same paper. Also, I can print or email some articles right on my IPad. Also, the only way you can read the Mon and Tue editions is online. The app works great. Early on it seemed that I had to enter my password every time I read the paper but not any more.
