The Danalock App uses Bluetooth 4 and is compatible with iOS 10.3 and above. However, the best experience is gained on versions iOS 12 and above.

Ratings and Reviews
Horrible
$370 for a lock I have to calibrate every 2 days ( I’m not exaggerating). No customer service phone number to call, they want you to send an email and wait for a reply. This thing is horrible.
Worst customer support
There is no user forum. Using their Facebook page to ask questions, they only answer as they feel like it.
They promised to customers a new apps to fix the iOS auto-unlock problem but after a month of waiting time, a new hardware is needed and offered no help to disappointed/angry early supporters.
They secretly increased the price of their locks over 60% in 5 months period without announcement. Potential customer only found out when asked the right question.
Battery is not the common AA type and is difficult to change.
The Z-wave portion appears to work ok from other users feedback but if you want Z-wave only lock, there are other well-known products available.
Success with App and Hardware
I love the Danalock App, it’s simple and easy to use, just like the hardware it works with. I have iPhone5 with iOS 8 and everything works smoothly. My entire family has the app and we no longer run around like crazy looking for keys on the way out the door, just grab our phones and go! Auto Unlock and Knock to Unlock are great options when your hands are full and the phone is in your bag or pocket. I haven’t had the chance to share a key yet, but the feature will come in handy for the dog walker and visitors.
