You don’t need lots of time or pro skills to make the most of this ultra-fast, super-intuitive photo editor. Darkroom can access your whole photo library at once, letting you immediately start cropping, adjusting curves and using preset filters or creating your own—until your pics are exactly how you want them.

I really love this app, but there’s one bug in this happened in the app called clips so I was editing a video just a little bit and the video would not unpause when I wanted to access my library. I did it so I tried to click on the video I just edited it and for some reason the video is not playing at all so can you please fix this bug because this bug is going everywhere right now so please fix it please thank you bye

  • Fantastic response time

Was looking for a particular AI feature that I discovered was only available in portrait mode. Filled out a bug report asking if there was a workaround or some other solution. Got a response from one of the owners in under 24 hours with possible options to solve my problem. You can’t ask for better service than that. Thanks guys!

I love using darkroom, especially with Hyperspektiv. I can get a much more varied and intricate look by using both. If I need more light, I run it through the Apple photo darkroom. Then I can see what it would look like with the google photo filters. I love working with light because there is no clean-up and the colors are so pure.

    Developer Response

We are super happy to hear Darkroom has been able to make that possible!

  • Glitching

I loved this app for the first month I had it and now the past two weeks it’s been glitching and exits out of the app while I’m editing or when I save the photo it cuts off half the photo when it saves. Luckily, I can revert to the original. It’s really frustrating because I want to love this app, but it has so many glitches. Unfortunately, I already paid for the full year. I do not want to rate it a 1 and ruin their rating because it’s truly a great editing app (when it worked), but it deserves a 1 with the functionality of it currently.

  • The best photo editor

I love this app. It’s a core part of why I love my photography hobby. The grain simulation is wonderful and the fact it’s so native to iOS is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been a user since it was a one time purchase app and I’ll forever subscribe to the pro version to support this. I loathe using Adobe products as a hobbyist and hate their model/costs when Dark Room is far better. I hope the developers never get acquired because this app is a gem. I can just quickly load RAW photos from my camera via a tiny SD to USB-C adapter on my iPhone in the Photos app, jump into Dark Room and do all my edits to the files, and do it on vacation or coffee shop without a laptop, it’s incredible. My only wish that would make it perfect… Add anamorphic desqueeze. So many lenses now and they the other desqueeze apps out there don’t respect RAW files and only export to JPG so grain just doesn’t look good no matter if I desqueeze before or after bringing it into Dark Room.
