That was a waste

Within a few seconds I knew this was a bust. As I was inputting my information I realized it doesn’t recognize predictive speech. Food database is EXTREMELY limited. No sugar substitutes, no cream, no name brands. Enjoy that $2. You won’t get another dime from me.

Good for the basics

Decent app in that it is very simplified to allow for very easy tracking of number of servings of each type of food, and seems to be specifically made for those new to the dietary requirements of DASH. However, I do wish that the app allowed for users to also track the sodium milligrams eaten each day. I wish to very tightly control my sodium to no more than 1500 mg/day, and I have to calculate that by hand, which is a pain.
Additionally, it would seem that there is no way to change the number of calories (i.e. to change from 1200 calorie meal plan to 1600 calorie meal plan). I designated the number of calories at the beginning to 1200 and I cannot find a way to change to 1600, which makes the app unusable because I cannot track the proper number servings under the new calorie requirements.

Needs work

It’s decent for tracking servings, as long as you only plan to eat very basic foods. Kind of buggy though. It crashes every time I attempt to erase whatever I’m searching for. Don’t buy the meal plans. I thought it would integrate the calorie counts and servings into the tracking. Nope. It’s just a written out meal plan that you can find almost anywhere on the internet for free. Also, it doesn’t track sodium, even though that’s a big part of the plan. This app has the potential to be really great if they took feedback and fixed its issues. Too bad they haven’t done that. There’s a real need for what they started to do with it. They just never followed through and made it completely what it needed to be.
