Data Manager - Track Usage of Mobile/Wi-Fi Data Plan 4+

I would say that it’s a great app to keep track of you data usage and limits. Also it helps me control what I do in turns of the switch to WiFi when available. What I would like to is alerts when you are near the end of your set limit as as the apps that use the data. That would be helpful. Other than that. Great app.

I've used this app (Version 1.0.2) for a few weeks now. The interface is decent but the accuracy has been bizarre for me. There are many times when it overestimates my 4G LTE data usage for the day by a few GB. Then it will try to compensate by applying a negative correction within the next week in an attempt to keep the monthly total accurate.

Unfortunately, this approach does not always work since the correction sometimes occurs when the monthly cycle has already rolled over. For example, say I'm at the end of my billing cycle and it overestimates by 3 GB. Then I move to the next billing cycle. Should start from 0 right? Instead it applied the negative correction and I started at -3 GB for the next billing cycle.

I also wish it was possible to track wifi and mobile data usage on separate monthly cycles.

Since the main purpose of the app is to accurately track data consumption, it's hard for me to recommend it at this time. I like the interface so hopefully these bugs will be corrected in future releases.

I’m going to start with this app has great potential. So I am looking for an app to track data usage, no notifications, alarms, or alerts. It’s very annoying when you give the app the same information that you have an unlimited data plan. I tell it, save it. The next time I open the app it tells me I need to finish setting it up where it asks the same questions about my plan that I have already told it many times. The potential is the only reason it got the rating it got. I hope and look forward to reading about improvements in the future. It just has a lot of improvements between now and then.
