Excellent tool for extracting data!

I love this little utility when I need to get data out of a file and don't have time to write a script or more complex parser to get to data.

The trick that I've found with this app is that you need to think in multi-rule setups. The app lets you create rules for where to extract data from in your document. Rather than making one big rule, break down what you are looking for into smaller elements, and create multiple rules to get to your data. Then you need to run the rules on the data using the Series, Parallel, or Nested parsing modes.
For example to get at data in an XML file that you don't have time to write a script to extract the needed data. Create some rules with Datamate and let it parse the file for you.
There does seem to be a bit of a bug in version 2.3 when using the built in "Data Starting Point Token" that is optional for helping to find the right data. It could be that I'm using it wrong, but I've never been able to get it to successfully process the data as I expect it would. Other than that small bug Datamate is a super useful tool once you understand how it works.

The paid version thinks it's the free version

The app seems to do what it says, though I can't really use it because it thinks it's the free version.

I paid $29 for this, and the same limitation from the free version (only one rule allowed) is in place in the paid version. It doesn't *say* it's the free version anymore on launch, or tell me that it'll only parse one rule, but the window says "Lite", and only the first rule in the list gets outputted.

Seems like a very simple mistake on the devs part, but one that fully cripples the (fairly expensive) application.
