This new update contains two major enhancements

1. We introduced the Quiz feature - so that you can put your skills that you gained to test.
2. Assessments -If you are working with a therapists then these standard (evidence based) assessments helps your therapist monitor how are progressing.

Fixed other issues with such as the ability to a) Edit entry b) Delete custom skills. And some performance enhancements.

Well designed but could be more ironed out

I love the UI of this app, but there are a lot of features that just don’t work. I tap the edit button for the day, nothing happens. I try to edit sharing settings, nothing happens. These are critical things that need to work in the app and they just don’t.

Thank you for responding to my feedback. I would suggest making the “share” options more cohesive. I don’t find that is very intuitive.
I have an iPhone 8+ if that helps you in your “edit” option problem solving.

After using the app more, I’ve noticed a couple things. In the share options, I would love to see more specifics when emailing the diary cards, such as user selected dates or a whole week rather than the entire month. Saving therapists contact information would be quick and useful too. There are some bugs in the journal entry part where when I go back to add information, it shifts to all caps, and overall, the letter “I” keeps capitalizing in the middle of words. Also would love to be able to edit some of the activities that are already programmed in rather than adding a whole new activity, just to keep things tidy.
I love the color systems and over all design, the best I have seen out there and it makes me excited to do my diary cards! But some of the issues and not being able to edit things is killing it for me, especially at the monthly cost. Hope some of these changes can be implemented soon!

Sorry for the trouble you are facing with the app. The edit button doesn't work on certain phones and we are working on it. But as a workaround, you can still delete an entry and renter again.

Regarding sharing setting, that is a placeholder for users who have been invited by their therapist to use this app.

You can still share your diary card with your therapist by clicking on share icon in the header on Entries & Summary screens.

Would love to hear more about your comment on "lots of bugs"...

We are adding share by date range option (so you can select your own when sending the summary report to your therapist.
Regarding therapist info, we are actually launching a therapist portal by the end of this month. Which means, if your therapist is setup on our portal - you don't have to share your data every week/month. You just have to set up once in the sharing setting option, as to what data (skill/target/activity/journal) you want to share with your therapist and the therapist will automatically see your data when they access the portal.
Regarding journal entry part - we will look into it. Its most likely a result of iPhone's keyboard, but we will investigate if we have any control over it.
Regarding activities, the app comes with a set of activities out of box, that you can't customize - primarily because that's the default data set and you could have references to them in previous entries. However, you can hide them and create new activities. So when you do entries, you will be able to see the activity list you want to see.

Great Comprehensive DBT app

I am so pleased and appreciative of the thorough breakdown & explanation of individual skills, as it can often be easy to forget particular components. Love this! I am also grateful for the added meditations, however, they stop when my phone goes to sleep. Also, I would really like to see specific guided meditations on things such as self confidence, self esteem, fear, depression, hopefulness, etc. — topics that encourage the listener. So many of the meditations seem more generic rather than focused. Also, although I appreciate the option to add affirmations, there are none already preloaded, which would be great. I did see where someone else mentioned this and was told that there is a large selection of affirmations to choose from, but this is not the case currently — there are none. The only options for affirmations are to select the days and time that the user would like to have them appear, and a place to enter a description, but nothing else. Paying a monthly subscription for what is currently offered seems not to be very cost effective when weighed with what is not working.

Thanks for your feedback. Regarding affirmations - what you see in settings is a reminder for affirmation. Here you pick a time / day, and save. Based on that, it will bring up a notification on that day / time in your phone. When you click on the notification, it brings up an affirmation for that day ( these are preloaded and picked randomly).

If you don’t receive these notifications then you need to change settings in your phone under

Setting > Notifications > Notification style

to allow DBT Daily to send notifications.

Regarding meditations, we will take your feedback into account. Please note that these meditations are offered free of cost. With respect your comment about cost effectiveness comparing guided meditation apps - those apps charge you close to three times in subscription fee just for meditations - Headspace, Simple Habit etc.. And we offer these meditations for free. Also the focus of this app is on DBT and offering DBT relevant meditations is just a small part of the as you can see.

Love it, but major bugs

I love the app, and it has helped me out a lot so far. It’s very helpful that it tracks your mood trends- something crucial to someone with issues like mine. I love that you can set affirmations that’ll pop up when you specified for them too, but you can’t see the whole message if you typed more than a few words. I also love how you can add specifics to just about everything (ex. add another emotion or thought to the list). The journal feature is extremely beneficial, but it’s deleted many of my entries out of the blue. Typing on it is very frustrating if you’re adding in something as an elaboration on something you’ve already said, and it’s hard to find things/navigate. I love the guided meditations- they’ve helped pull me out of some pretty dark places. I’d like to see more guided features like this for other coping skills!
