Do you ever wish you could use professional quality multisamples on your mobile device? Now you can! The Decent Samples plugin is a sample player that allows you to use your favorite Decent Samples sample libraries on the go. Many of the most popular Decent Samples releases are available through the app with more being added every week.
Because it's also an AUv3 plugin, you can use it from within GarageBand or with AUM.

I really wanted to like this app, but...
It is VERY hard for me to leave bad app ratings. So instead of leaving three stars and saying something nasty, I wanted to at least let other users know why I didn’t leave a perfect 5 star rating.
First let me say the things that I really like!
I love the setup, and the minimalist and clean design.
However, the algorithm that tries to loop the note, sounds awful. When the note is struck the attack sounds great, but a millisecond after the key is struck it falls apart! The moment the note starts the decay starts to pop, and the sustain shifts volume and wobbles because it’s trying to loop the sample and it’s unusable.
Why not record the notes with the whole ADSR the attack is fine, so just let the note fade naturally and don’t start the loop at the decay, actually not allow it to loop at all.
I uninstalled... ☹️
Although the sounds were ok to start off with, if you HOLD some notes long enough on all instruments (that are provided free) including the default piano, you will hear glitching, clicking and some strange after (ghost) sounds. If this is any indication of what you would get from a purchased (at $10 a pop) sampled sound, then I can’t recommend it until at least all the free samples are cleaned up. And hopefully there are not any problems with the purchased samples.
Also, the program crashes when sometimes selecting a different sample from the file menu.
FYI, I am using an iPad Pro for primarily for music. I have no problems like this from other programs that use samples.
5 stars. Live player with real instruments that goes between iOS and MacOS...exquisite instruments.
It is in my professional work flow. I have the violas and the guitar and the free instruments are just as good. I use them as often or more. The baby grand piano is scary good if you need that kind of sound on iOS. The choir is one of the best anywhere iOS or Mac OS. It’s real voices. The glockenspiels are Intense. It comes with a default piano that is beautiful, as is. It would be a great default studio piano app. The piano is real.
This is what all music apps will look like in the future. For live? Other than this? Not really anything like this.
This is free with the first starting packs at full quality.
I am using with xequence 2, audiobus 3, multi track on iPhone and cubasis 2 on iPad.
It is better than a good app. It is as good as any real or virtual instrument that I have ever played, let alone owned, for free.
How do I know? I have fun playing the instruments. Not touching phone making sound. No. With the haptic & motion velocity control in xequence 2? It’s a rewarding and fun experience. (Not an ad. Not sponsored by anyone).
It was way glitchy during an os update last year. It runs 1000% now. The developer responds. Active app. Made by a highly respected music business professional.
12 mb. Free. Seems to good to be true. It’s free. Get it.
