Ratings and Reviews
The Delgado Community College (DCC) app has proved beneficial in providing quick and updated information regarding current events related to campus status such as updating students during hurricane Ida and allowing students to fill out pre-health screenings before entering campus to regulate potential Covid-19 cases that may possibly arise. Also, the app gives students, professors, and other faculty members the ability to communicate with one another to problem solve any questions that a student might be concerned about. Finally this app also provides a multitude of useful tabs related to school in the profile section. Overall, this app is very convenient and easy to use. I am grateful that it was created and happy that I am able to use it to make my school experience better.
This is the only app that sends constant notifications. I have to go through several prompts to clear a notification for ONE thing. I still have red notifications icons over assignments for classes from last semester. If I complete the assignments I've obviously been notified. Why is the alert still there? Especially if I log in from different device. If I open canvas on my cell phone app today and complete an assignment. I shouldn't have a notification for that assignment when I login from my computer. It's ALREADY COMPLETE. I've changed the settings so my phone won't alert me, but the red numbers above assignments is still there when I open the app. Making me think there's something I haven't done. I don't need to hear/read about every single thing that goes on at Delgado either. The news should be an option not something I HAVE to see on my dashboard daily. I just dislike canvas. It doesn't function as a 2020 portal. I'd prefer to open an app. Read what I need and move on. Not with Canvas. You have to scroll through several Delgado ads to get to your course. Once you've clicked on your course they're old notifications or assignments STILL alerting me weeks after I've completed them no matter where I login.
Great school love it glad I chose to go back and finish my degree it’s been really fun meeting new people and learning new things I look forward in the future to giving back to this college once I’m finished with my education.
