Vibrant, Polished Gem

Thanks for making such a concise, wonderful game! Great minimalistic character and enemies. Excellent music. Vibrant, punchy effects. Satisfyinf incremental progression. Currently one of my favorite iOS action-RPGs. I love that the sword changes in appearance as it is upgraded.

I can't wait to make more progress and enjoy future updates.

Notes to the developer, for potential fixes:

I can't seem to consistently pull of the "dash" mechanic. This could have something to do with my technique. I can only get it to work by doing an exaggerated, forceful swipe all the way to the edge of the screen, which is not ideal for me. I have been ignoring the dash cooldown upgrade, because I rarely try to execute a dash, for fear of it not registering when I need it most.

Occasionally, my physical attacks go right through an enemy without doing damage. If this is intentional, a "miss" indicator would be helpful.

Additionally, my physical attacks often do damage when when my sword is not even close to hitting the enemies. I wish that the hitboxes were more closely-correlated to the exact path of the sword.

Finally, thanks again for making such a great game. I hope you find this review helpful and encouraging.

Developer Response ,

Hey David, I apologize about your feeling with the dash and the sword attack. Some users reported that the dash was activating accidentally and I had to adjust soon as possible but I have to fix better for everyone. About the problem with the physical attack I'll take a look and keep in mind for the next updates!

Thank you so much for your feedback and the kind words!

Regards.

Start Up Fail

I have an iPod touch with iOS 12.5.6. I am told by the details in the store that this game should function. I open it, it loads in the first thing fine after the credits flash for Unity. It says to better help the dev that i should turn on ad personalization and has a "next" button. I press the button. And i get a gray screen. It matched the gray screen from when it tried to load initially and hadnt played the credit flash yet. I leave it be for several minutes to do something else, and nothing changed.

I have over half my device storage empty and the only thing taking RAM should be the app. The dev(s) literally just needs to add a debug script to the opening section to ensure it works and this problem is done, and i can play the game to give it a proper review. I will avoid a star review until then as i have no experience with the game, only with an app failing to load the next thing in a sequence. If theres a 3-star attached to this that is due to the store forcing it, not my opinion on this app. I cannot review it as 1 or 2 due to nothing with the game itself being provably bad to me, but i cannot give 4 or 5 due to not having been given a good thing about the game to review. 3 would be the only fair choice for my experience, despite it clearly being much better and the dev(s) being good listeners and deserving more, based on word of mouth. I wish i felt i could give it more, but my misfortune prevents this.

A true GEM!

If you like survivor style, roguelite games, then download this immediately. It is so minimalistic and deceptively simple yet addicting, exciting, stylish, and really fun for quick gameplay. Also has a killer soundtrack and really smooth sprite animations. As a new user 100% you have to take advantage of the discounted premium pack that’s only available the first few days you have the game. it truly is a limited time offer and you will regret not purchasing it, but if you’re free to play gamer don’t let that turn you away because this is very free to play friendly. It’s just, the premium pack is very fairly priced and totally worth it. Great, great, great game, I can’t wait to see how this evolves as it’s already so good.
