Great little app

Does exactly what it promises, no more no less. Turns a mess into a sight for sore eyes - and it’s instantly reversible back to the mess whenever you find you need to paw through to find something, or just miss that old messy look. It doesn’t hide running application windows. If you need to hide sensitive stuff in a shared work environment, you might want to get the pro version, so you can use a hotkey combo instead of a menu bar item that a snoop could find and use.

I can no longer get to my Desktop files

It was a great app, great for privacy, but recently I am unable to show all my desktop files... It only shows a couple of them when I decide to unhide! I clicked show dozens of times, but it never shows the rest of the hidden desktop files. And now I cannot go in and use these files saved on my desktop because they are still hidden... not just on the desktop screen, but hidden to me within finder. I have no idea what to do, and it's making me stress out! They should still be on my computer because I didn't delete them, but I can't help but worry the files saved onto my desktop are gone!

Hi Tom,

Please make sure you aren't running any apps or scripts that enable hidden system preferences. If you are using a third-party tool to have Finder show hidden files, it will cause a conflict with Desktop Ghost. If you believe the app isn't working for you for some other reason, feel free to reach out via the support page.
