Great Companion app for anyone who plays destiny as is a must have

This app is absolutely great. To me worth 5 stars. Everything that you can do in the app from being able to move items from your vault to any character of yours in the game, to staying connected to your clan, finding other players who play this game for help with certain activities or endgame content, to updates that Bungie is providing to us about the game, and so much more. A few things I would consider adding to this app though would be, being able to view pursuit progress on it. Instead of having to load up the pursuits screen while I’m in the middle of an activity to see how close I am to finishing a pursuit, It could be as simple as viewing it on the app. Another thing, being able to purchase bounties from vendors through the app, (and really only just bounties to prevent players from not having to go to that certain vendor regarding other things like pursuits) but prevent them from having to waste time going all the way to that certain vendor just for a bounty before starting an activity related to whatever bounty it is that they need. I feel like maybe some changes like this could really take this app to a whole other level of amazing.
Handy, but just dumbed down.

Really, why is this so simple? The original layout for the original companion was absolutely flawless. It was easy to navigate, the visuals looked good, and it was professionally done with good looking forums, easy access to every aspect of the app, and it was just fun to use. Never have I though negatively about the app until the re-formatting of Destiny 2. The app feels clunky, inconsistent, and just un-fun and bad to use in every way. Why do I have to scroll so much to switch in between menus in the heat section? Why do I need so many pop ups to see different aspect? Why do I need to press a completely different button to view the 3D model? Why is it that I can’t see every armor piece of my guardian at once, and instead you can only look at the one part on the basic armor from the start from the game. Do things like this take up too much processing power for some reason? Why are you so lazy to not include the tiny holographic effects of some armor pieces? The only professional part of this app is the clan section and the news section. The forum is god awful to navigate and the gear section looks like an elementary schooler on power point made it by dragging a few squares and making it as messy as possible. It just hurts me to see what kind of a leap back this app has taken from the format I loved and used for 3 years. The fact that this app has transferred to a whole new game shouldn’t mean that the formatting needs such an overhaul that I feel the need to complain about it.
Levels of incompetence rival EA

“Oops something went wrong.” *relaunches app* “Oops something went wrong.” *repeats 4+ times* “Oops something went wrong.” *checks forums, finds out it’s a constant issue, prompting a sign-out/sign-in* *logs out* “yOu CaN’t LoGiN dUe To MaInTeNaNcE* 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ So. You can’t simply make that the message upon boot up? Instead of implying it’s a glitch? “BuT yOu CoUlD hAvE lOoKeD iF tHeRe WaS mAiNtEnAnCe.” Right. But some of us have ACTUALLY supported you monetarily since D1 started. And all we ask for is some semblance of competence. Which you’ve failed to provide since the beginning of D2. “ThInGs WiLl GeT bEtTeR aFtEr We SpLiT fRoM aCtIvIsIoN.” Spoiler alert: they got worse. Because atleast back then you were held to the minimum standard due to big papi Activision’s oversight. Now? Now there’s no bar to reach. You continue to disappoint in even the smallest of things.Edit: 12+ hours later. Still undergoing maintenance. So, why can you spend so much time attempting to fix an app and not the game itself? It’s like doing LESS THAN the bare minimum is Bungie’s alma mater. But of course, the mentality is “We don’t care about the consumer as long as they’re spending money. They’re idiots who don’t know what’s good for them.” Right? Hilarious. Since Bungie NO LONGER plays their own game, but can’t (and won’t) rely on the opinions of those that DO. Guess Big Daddy Activision still pulls the strings. It shows in the lack of content and lack of upkeep for the game.
“Please” ad theses improvements. To the app!

I have used this app for about 5 years give or take. The only things I really wanted them to ad was a way to purchase bounty’s from the vendors in the companion app though the app with out a bounty limit, and as few limitations on what you can buy from them; also you should ad a calendar section for the app and you can see what stuff a vendor might be selling in the game for today’s vendor inventory information, but they all ready had that so I was bumming that you could see future inventory refreshes and see what you will get and what rolls-etc. they should also ad a feature where you see one of those future inventory’s, and you want to remember what day it going to be you should have a feature where you can bookmark or wishlists it or something, and then you would get a notification that’s saying today’s your day to get your armor roll or mod, so that way you don’t have to just get on destiny 2 every day and launch to the tower, just to see what they’re selling which can be a pain. You should also work with some of those 3rd party destiny 2 websites, and maybe you can get it merged to work in unison with each other.
