The prior problems I had has been addressed. This app is outstanding. The face recognition and mobile deposit features are flawless and so convenient. My compliments to the design team! I gave up on this app about a year ago but thought I'd try it again. Used it last month and it worked well. However, today when I tried the potentially convenient "mobile deposit" feature, my submission couldn't be processed because of (check) image issues - same as last year. I ensured that I had the current app update, retook pics of the check and tried submitting it a few more times but to no avail. When considering the amount of time taken including writing this review, it's just quicker and less frustrating to visit a local branch. I generously gave it a three star for good intentions.

Have used the app for years for all DFCU transactions and never had any issues with it. I loved the fact that I could make all my deposits without having to actually go to the branch. However, in recent months mobile deposits are a hit or miss. Sometimes they get processed on the first try without a glitch; sometimes after two or three tries and sometimes not at all necessitating a trip to the branch. This is not a case of a bad capture of the check. The app just simply locks up. Sometimes later in the day or the next day it will work. This problem started when we had to start endorsing the back with “For mobile deposit . . . “ Until this issue I would have rated it a 5 star. The mobile deposit feature was the most valuable feature for me since I can do all of the other transactions on line. I’m not the first to write a negative review about this feature. The complaints started back in October of last year. Yet today, April 1st, it is still not fixed. And no, this is not an April fools joke. I’ve been a member of DFCU since 1974 and for the first time I’m giving consideration to changing financial institutions. They don’t even have courtesy of reaching out or responding; instead the branch personnel just blame me for not knowing how to use the app.

After a rocky start, this app has become very stable. It reliably opens and is easy to navigate. Thanks!! (Added in Aug 2019) I’ve come to depend on this app. It let’s me see where my money comes from and where it goes. It’s invaluable at tax time!! (Added in March 2022) As money became more scarce due to COVID rules and retirement, the program has become even more valuable to me. Congrats to the developers and to DFCU who hired them!And here we are in 2022! The app is still great, but has developed an interesting issue. Dispute having set it up for face recognition, about half the time - most often in the morning - the app requires me to do a full log in. But not always just in the morning. It quite often decides it doesn’t know me when I’m using the app midday. It’s beginning to annoy me.

I would rate this app higher if two things would be fixed. The buttons need changing. Having a grey button with white text makes it look like your buttons are not working because that is the default look of non-working buttons in just about every app ever…until this app. Even a text color change would fix this. Also, when you have multiple accounts like I do, it is a royal pain to click one on your screen only to realize that you clicked the wrong one because for unknown reasons, the app keeps shifting their order around. This wasn’t previously an issue and has become a HUGE annoyance with the most recent update. I can’t stand thinking I clicked one account to see immediately that nope, your app jumped them around while my finger was in motion. Clearly I didn’t want to see the account I thought I clicked on, but the one you shoved in there real quick. Knock that off!Why does this app not want you to be able to quick view your information? I logged in to do bills but if I leave the screen to access my calculator app I can’t view my account in favor of their blue DFCU screen. You are a mobile app for a bank…why would you make it difficult to do calculating? Why?! We know you are DFCU. We don’t need a reminder, we need our balance and the numbers. Please hire a developer with some forethought. 😒
