Great banking app
Love the features of the DFCU app. It only has one bug when logging in from an iPhone. If you log in to the bill pay portion of the app, and you click on full pay site and later want to select mobile it will not give you the prompt to be able to do it. The reason why I want to do go back sometimes is because from the full bill pay site you can’t click to view the bill or statement say for a credit card but you can from the mobile site. I just think the full pay site has a lot more features than the mobile site so I struggle a little bit with that. I wish you could click to view bill details from the full bill pay site with an iPhone. Overall though, I love the app minus that one issue. Highly recommended.
Have used the app for years for all DFCU transactions and never had any issues with it. I loved the fact that I could make all my deposits without having to actually go to the branch. However, in recent months mobile deposits are a hit or miss. Sometimes they get processed on the first try without a glitch; sometimes after two or three tries and sometimes not at all necessitating a trip to the branch. This is not a case of a bad capture of the check. The app just simply locks up. Sometimes later in the day or the next day it will work. This problem started when we had to start endorsing the back with “For mobile deposit . . . “ Until this issue I would have rated it a 5 star. The mobile deposit feature was the most valuable feature for me since I can do all of the other transactions on line. I’m not the first to write a negative review about this feature. The complaints started back in October of last year. Yet today, April 1st, it is still not fixed. And no, this is not an April fools joke. I’ve been a member of DFCU since 1974 and for the first time I’m giving consideration to changing financial institutions. They don’t even have courtesy of reaching out or responding; instead the branch personnel just blame me for not knowing how to use the app.

Mobile Deposit Unreliable
I want to love this app because I really do love this bank. Friendly tellers, cashback, no sneaky fees. But it’s been several years since the release of this app and mobile deposit is still unreliable. I have put in a support ticket with DFCU and they know there is an issue, but they don’t have either the resources or motivation to take care of it with a permanent fix. With more investment, this could be a great app. Instead, it fails when I need it most. I am a small business owner and I have one foot out the door.
The specific issue is that when taking a photo of the back of a check for mobile deposit it logs you out of the app. I have had this issue on and off for over a year. When you’re depositing 5 or 10 checks at a time, it’s infuriating to keep logging back in and hope your check goes through.
Edit 6/1: Reduced rating to 1 star. App is still in poor condition. I got logged out 4 times in a row trying to mobile deposit a check. This is after reinstalling the app and restarting my phone.
