เครื่องมือที่ช่วยให้แพทย์สามารถประเมินความเสี่ยงของผู้ป่วยต่อแนวทางการสอดท่อด้วยการวัดระยะทาง (Thyromental Height Test : TMHT) จากรูปถ่ายด้านข้างของผู้ป่วยและให้ผลลัพธ์ว่าผู้ป่วยนั้นสอดท่อหายใจได้ยากหรือง่าย ซึ่งเป็นฟนึ่งในปัจจัยการวิเคราะห์ Difficult Airway Assessment โดยใช้แนวทาง Case-Based Reasoning ในการนำปัจจัยของผู้ป่วยมาประเมินผลเพื่อให้ได้แนวทางการรักษาที่เหมาะสมในแต่ละเงื่อนไข เพื่อลดอุบัติการณ์การเกิดภาวะแทรกซ้อนจากการใส่ท่อช่วยหายใจและช่วยชีวิตได้เร็วขึ้น
