The DÁP app, designed to read NFC chips in Hungarian IDs, unfortunately falls far short of expectations. Despite its promising concept, the execution leaves much to be desired. Scanning the photo is a frustrating process that barely works, and NFC reading seems like an impossible task, failing repeatedly.

In an era when digital wallets and ID integrations are becoming the norm worldwide, this app feels like a missed opportunity for Hungary to join the ranks of digital pioneers. Instead, it’s a clunky, non-functional tool that wastes time and tests patience.

Such a bad app. No contact information. No help. No support. The app can't handle a multicamera system on the phone. Using the ultra-wide lens and can't recognize anything. Bravo, Idomsoft Zrt! Hope you got a big fat check for this...

When registering, I placed the phone over the front of ID card to read the chip and kept saying not to move the phone. The phone and ID was laying motionless on the table.
