Can be frustrating
Love the app and thought behind it. Makes it easier to determine what should be graded. I dislike the app continually shutting down, the deleted cards from the portfolio reappearing, and the most frustrating — I can’t grade more than one card without it being flagged. I have 4 of the same card (can show proof) and yet I can’t submit more than one for 40 days. Also, if it doesn’t grade every objective (like structure is 0.0) automatic 10.
Needs improvement
I got this to get a rough estimate of my cards possible grades prior to sending in and to help determine which ones I would send to which company. When I first got it they had centering as one of the graded areas but took it out with a recent update. The app also submitted the same card twice with the exact same picture but graded one an 8 and one a 9.5. Not sure how this happens when the picture is the exact same for both. I also had a card that the centering was off in but got a 9.5 for centering when centering score was displayed. I’m also not a fan of the fact that it pops up errors when I try to scan in a second version of a card I already scanned (this was the same version of the card but a second card) Additionally there is no way to contact support through the app making getting any assistance near none existent. I have high hopes for the app hopefully they can fix the errors.
Card grading times
I actually really like this app overall — the AI grading feels accurate, and I’ve graded a bunch of cards through it already. The design is clean, and the concept is super convenient, especially if you’re a collector who wants quick assessments without mailing cards in.
That said, I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price. It’s a little on the high side for a digital service, and I think that could be improved to make it more accessible. Also, the app tends to bug out occasionally. It says grading takes around 30 minutes (a bit longer if they’re busy), but right now it’s been over 3 hours and my cards are still pending. If they fix the wait times and app stability, this could easily be a 5-star app.
