Hi Manuel, I want it to display 12 hour time, but it’s stuck on 24 hour, even after force quitting and restarting the app. Would be cool if the text background could be a little more opaque, or maybe an opacity adjustment in settings? Otherwise it’s excellent, and filling a niche that I haven’t seen any other app fill...ESPECIALLY because it supports iCloud Photo Library! Excellent work. I subscribed for a year. I repurposed an old iPad to replace the Google Nest Hub to show photos in the kitchen, because I decided to switch the family to Apple and away from Google.

We all have giant photo libraries these days with old photos that we rarely get to see. Being able to see those memories always on display is a treat — and this app is *the* way to do it.

I tried a number of other apps to turn my old iPads into photo frames; here’s why this one is head and shoulders above the rest:
- iCloud Photo Library support. This is a must, and with Shared Photo Library in iOS 16, my partner and I can take photos and see them playing on the iPad without ever having to manually select and send photos anywhere. It’s seamless — and better than you’d get even with dedicated photo frame devices.
- Tons of customization. Choose any duration you want, how photos should be scaled, whether or not to play videos, and one of my favorites — animate live photos once when they appear, then just show them as still. A nice way to catch your eye when a new photo appears but not be distracting.
- Show image metadata like location and date simply and elegantly, which adds a whole level of context that makes your photos mean even more.
- Supports the newest screen sizes and features. I use it with a 12.9” iPad Pro and there are so many slideshow apps that still have awful scaled-up displays. The UI here is clean, attractive, and it all looks “right”.

Best of all, it all just works! I can set it up the way I want, and then just leave it alone.

My "retired" iPad 2 and iPad 3 are running 24/7 slideshows from shared albums.

I tried Apple Photos built-in slideshow feature, but it would not run continuously. I was restarting each iPad's slideshow daily, sometime twice a day. That was irritating enough to find another solution.

This app runs on old iPads and does the job well. I can quickly select a shared album and start the slideshow. The app has many options. I like the flip transition. I set 10 seconds for each picture. I especially like the option to NOT play videos.

I prevented my picture-frame iPads going dark by searching for "auto-lock" in the Settings app--change it to "Never".

This app has a subscription payment model. I am still in the one week free trial period. It is working just the way I want. For me, it is worth $10 per year.

Update, several months later, the subscription has gained value. Two iPods Touch and an iPhone 6 are running slideshows 24/7. The app’s Ken Burns transition helps on those tiny screens. And today I added an old-ish, cracked-screen iPad to the digital picture frame lineup. Six devices. This is a great way to get end-of-life value from old, but still working screens.
