Digital Reception from Springer-Miller Systems provides customers of the SMS|Host Property Management system with the ability to associate an iPad with a Front Desk workstation in order to present guests with an enhanced digital registration process. iPad devices can be dedicated or linked on-demand when not in mobile use. Properties choose, maintain and update the displayed text and imagery, as needed. Registration, signature and acknowledgements are stored in SMS|Host and retrievable for display or printing. Properties are able to install and permanently associate a device with a single workstation or select the Digital Reception standalone mode and register the iPad, as needed, to a workstation. Once activated, presentation of registration details is launched from the SMS|Host reservation via the existing Registration Card command. Guests review the key elements of their reservation and interact with any required acknowledgements from the property, then sign on the iPad, submitting the registration back into SMS|Host. Properties are able to tailor the graphics to match their branding. Additionally, the property can insert statements/questions into the process requiring a guest response, acknowledging their agreement, preference or understanding (e.g. policies, additional services, etc.)
While able to be purchased on its own, Digital Reception will integrate with the SMS|Host Anywhere Mobile Platform. In addition to providing a contemporary interface to their guests, Digital Reception serves as a green initiative, reducing paper and eliminating filing, all at a more attractive price point than alternative single-purpose devices.
