Mostly great app

This app is an intuitive, easy way to get out email campaigns fast. Two downsides that keep it from 5 stars: 1) you can't agregate reports within the program. If you send the same email in different batches you can only agregate the results by exporting each one to Excel and then creating your own totals. It would be better if you could do it right on the dashboard. 2) You're only given one design test per month (to check client compatibility) even on paid plans. This means you either have to pay more or pay for Email on Acid or other compatibility checker. All unlimited plans should also have unlimited design checks.

9 years of use, great application!

I run a seasonal busines so I don't like paying monthly fees for email marketing when I know I won't be using it for half the year. The "buy credits in bulk" business model of Direct Mail works for me just fine. It's easy to create emails, and they make adding elements like pictures, "buy now" buttons, text blocks, links, etc, very easy. They also help you to not have your emails marked as spam. I really like their reporting - I can see which email respondants clicked on which links. I end up spending just under a penny per email sent, which is a good value to me. Great support, too, although today was the first time I've actually used it because everything just works and makes sense. Highly recommend if you like to have control over all aspects of your marketing emails.

Fantastic All Arround

Over the years I've used several of the popular mailing list options out there: MailChimp, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, and others. After using Direct Mail for several months now I'm convinced it's the best option on the market, especially for those who prefer hands-on control on their own Macs. It's website sign-up form implementation is incredibly easy to set up, as is managing numerous lists and doing a wide range of maintenance on them. All the tools are well designed and flawless. Customization of outgoing messages is among the best I've used, and since I'm on the Pay-Per-Email plan—at $0.01 per recipient—it's definitely among the most affordable. Highly recommended.
