The idea of this application came when my doctor told me that he was at the restaurant with his family to celebrate his wedding anniversary. At the end of the evening he realized that the bag, that was leaning on the chair with iPhone, IDs and money was gone. From this arises Direwolf!
Direwolf works when you are away from your phone, for example when you forget it on a bench or a restaurant table. Direwolf is the revolutionary App that keeps monitored your smartphone. You don’t have to worry about it being stolen right under your nose anymore. Studied and designed specifically for Apple Watch, this application, thanks to a connection system with the iPhone, provides you an anti-theft service of your device. It is activated every time you decide you want it to be on. Installed on Apple Watch, the application works via Bluetooth and with the accelerometer control functionality of your iPhone. This way, if your iPhone is improperly extracted from your pocket or purse, in real time you will receive an audible alert: This notification will allow you to react immediately to the theft and possibly lock the phone to avoid any Improper use. With Direwolf, you don’t have to worry anymore that your iPhone is stolen without you noticing it. Any unauthorized action will in fact be detected by the App.
Direwolf will use background location services to determine the iPhone position constantly. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Bug fixes and performance improvements.

A good idea, but needs tweaking. I'm ok with my watch alarming if my phone is across the room, several feet away, but it should not tell me my phone is far away if it is in my pocket, less than 18" away from my watch.
Yes, iOS and watchOS both on the latest, released version.
Developer Response ,
hi T12345D ,a new update is on the apple store, let me know if the bug is fixed thanks
I use this with my series 3. It works great, as I'm always leaving my phone behind. It doesn't buzz my watch just once, but every few minutes (or so). Which I like because I would probably still still forget it. I can see how this can be annoying, but you can deactivate it from the watch. One other thing that I don't like is that it has to always be open in the dock in order to work.
I do like that it doesn't seem to really drain my batteries (phone and watch) badly. I think this is a must have app. The creator is also pretty responsive through emails.
Best $2 I’ve ever spent!
There is a bit of a learning curve. The creator clearly speaks English as a second language. The directions are a little hard to follow. Once you figure it out, it works great. It’ll ping you when you go out of range of your phone! It also has a toggle switch that you use when the phone is meant to remain stationary, like in a bag at dinner or whatever. If the phone is moved at all with this toggle on, you will receive a ping on your watch. Just what I have been looking for. I’m quite surprised that apple does not offer this function automatically.
