Fantastic game - horribly optimized

The very little of this game I was able to play had me in awe. The writing is extremely clever, the gameplay is fresh and interesting and the world is beautifully rendered in all its downtrodden glory.

Unfortunately, the game has been incompetently optimized for Macs; the frame rate chugs, even on the lowest settings, and there are constant, unending crashes. I was booted to the desktop about six times in the 30 or so minutes I played this game. That's real bad, folks.

I was hoping that maybe there'd be a patch due soon to fix the incessant crashing but the game has been out for SEVEN months as of this writing and it's still in this unplayable state. Save your money. Wait for the game to either be patched into stability or buy it in another format.

It's art and it's fun

This is the best new game I have played in the last 10 years, and I think it will likely join Morrowind and Arcanum in the elite group of games I constantly replay.

Truly a work of art -- complex, atmospheric, filled with lore -- but it's also just a fun game to play. There are a crazy amount of different roleplaying options and paths to take, as well as a lot of humor throughout. Can't say enough good stuff about it.
