This works for me with iPad mini 5th gen. Registration tries to get you to share a valid email, but you can skip confirmation. The instructions included in the box and in the app are lacking but the Kano website says to ensure Bluetooth is on (plug light by power button is on) and you have to pair with the app (as opposed to pairing with the iOS Bluetooth settings, which cannot see the device). That worked for me - finally. This has been fun so far, but the shared content could use some moderation - for example someone shared a level called “death chamber” which has some spinning gears that look like they are chopping up little children.

When I try to register it clears my region selection and says I must select a region. So with out the software it’s just a really expensive night light. Bought these after Christmas last year to give to the kids this year so returning them is not an option. I’m going to contact the company, but seeing similar reviews from two years ago doesn’t make me hopeful.

I cannot even use the app because it won’t let me finish creating my account. When I get to the parent email page, it won’t let me select a region and hit continue. The region unclicks whenever I hit the continue button, no matter which region I select.
