Update doesn’t work on Hig Sierra

Nice app pre latest update. Does what it says. However, when I updated to the latest version it couldn’t run under High Sierra. Contacted support and quickly got a reply that the update did run under High Sierra. Sent them the logs showing that it didn’t and never heard back. Tried to contact them again and never heard back. The old version runs just fine, but it the app store keeps trying to update it. Every day or so I have to tell it later. It would be really nice if this was fixed one way or another. The hassle with support/update is one reason I didn’t give it 5 stars

No Space Support

This app is a must have if you spend your day connecting and detacking from an extternal monior, however it doesn't suppoirt space so while it doesn't remember what space an app opens in, you can still use Spaces to force an app to open on a specific Desktop. Desktops do get preserved in when disconnecting and reconnecting montitor (as long as "Automatically Rearrange Spaces" is turned off, so you can use Display Made profiles to restore window location and size between modes. Profiles do NOT change automatically so you should have one for each of your hardware configs (laptop only. monitor only, laoptop and monitor, etc...) It's a bit clunky but it does preserve your workspace well enough so you don't have windows thrown to the botton of the screen where you have only one pixel to grab!

I hear you, and I apologize but support for Spaces is no longer possible. Third party developers are not provided a way to accurately identify Spaces anymore. The id numbers are random and change upon reboot and monitor connect/disconnect. Any form of support for spaces I could provide would be guess work, and provide inaccurate results. Behavior you might seen in macOS itself has been made private and is unavailable to outside developers.

No Spaces support?

I downloaded this to try it out. I was hoping for something that would let me arrange my windows one way when I’m plugged in to my two external monitors, and a completely different way when running on just the laptop screen. I’m set up with separate Spaces on each display, and I tested by unplugging my external monitors, moving the windows where I wanted them on my laptop-only setup, and then plugging my monitors back in.

As best I can tell the “Auto Restore” setting doesn’t do anything if you move any of your windows between unplugging your monitors and plugging them back in. If you explicitly save and restore window positions, it seems to move them around on the (x,y) coordinate space, but it *doesn’t* put move them onto a different Space if they’re in the wrong one.

So, not helpful in my case. I guess I’m going to the trouble of learning how to configure Slate instead.
