**Update: the app works great again since the last update. Updated my rating. Love this app honestly. Glad it’s back. —App crashes after a few slides on every single tutorial since the ios26 update. Useless until they fix it

  • Goodbye rulebooks

I swear every time I sit down and open up a rule book to learn a new game my body immediately needs to take a nap. I can have a game open and set up on the table and then I turn to the first page and it’s lights out for me. So in comes Dized. This app teaches you how to play while you’re playing the game, and without any of that pesky reading. Honestly, I’m enjoying this app so much, I’ve started to learn rules to games that have been sitting on my shelf of shame for years! At this point, I’m just learning rules to games that I don’t ever plan on playing, it’s that good! Please keep adding more games!

  • Great tutorials

I’m wishing for this app and company’s success, because it was super helpful. One of the hardest thing for me to find time to do is reading the manual before I play the game. So sometimes, the game does not get played for a full year. I have over a hundred board games. While I strive to play all of them, it is just difficult to get to all the new unopened ones in a timely manner. So Dized has made it a dream come-true for me. I finally got to open and play Gloomhaven: Buttons and Bugs, Cuthulhu: Death may die, AND I got to revisit and clarify some rules on spirit island. I haven’t played spirit island in a long time because I had forgotten the rules. I didn’t want to read the rule book again, so I left it unplayed for another 2 years. So, I’m glad I downloaded Dized. Brought back joy into my life with my board games. I’m looking forward to so many more tutorials. In fact, I’m probably going to prioritize what I play and what I buy based off the available tutorials that are available on Dized. I just love that Dized has a mix of all different board games and not just easy board games. Cuz anyone can learn the easy board games, but the harder ones are more satisfying.

  • Not as good as I’d hoped

As a family man that enjoys playing all sorts of games with his family and a coder minimalist, I was really excited about Dized when I learned about it. I loved the idea of a digital repository where I could “store” my board game rulebooks. Using Dized, however, is an entirely different story… Its UI just feels clunky and bulky and not well thought out. Navigating between “tabs” is harsh and viewing the hosted tutorials and rules is just weird. It looks like the rules are just web pages viewed from within the application… :/Its features are lacking, too; I wish there was a way to favorite games so you can come back to them later. In addition, I still haven’t figured out what my “credits” are supposed to be used for…

Hello!Thank you for your feedback and review. We're working hard to make Dized better. We're a small team and the progress has been somewhat slower we anticipated, but there has been a lot of progress despite that. We're constantly working on the features on the app itself, improving the UI and making Dized easier to use. We're also bringing in more and more content. As for the credits: they'll work like a currency in Dized. Not quite yet as we're currently working on payment systems in general, but in the future you'll be able to buy content (tutorials, extras etc) with the credits. Stay tuned!

  • Excellent help for board gamers

    WellsWebDesign.com

I enjoy board gaming. My wife does not. It doesn’t help that I’m not very good at explaining rules. However, last night we played KINGDOMino for the first time, and instead of me bumbling through the directions, we pulled up Dized and just ran through the tutorial. It was animated, narrated, and even helped us calculate the score at the end of the game. Of course she beat me 45 to 25. I enjoy playing, and she wins. It’s just how it goes. Regardless, Dized will only continue to get better as they add more games and tutorials. Really looking forward to the future with this app.

  • Paid tools don’t fit iPad screens

    MBGeese

The tutorials are great. However the tools in the paid subscription don’t fit on an iPad screen. They fit the wider aspect ratio of phones - and it looks like an attempt was made to use one size to fit all, because there’s a lot of side margin space for the tools on phone. But It’s still too wide for a standard aspect ratio tablet. Would appreciate a fix since I already paid for a yearly sub. Also, posting this here because the “feedback” button in the tools did nothing.
