DKFM Shoegaze 4+

I love that the app starts playing music right when you open it. No fumbling or searching necessary. You get shoegaze right off the bat. I love the access to all the different shows on DKFM. The only improvements that needs to be made is that the song title/ info don’t update when the next song plays. The info should change simultaneously when the song changes.

I love listening to DKFM to discover new artists and hearing them back to back with classic favorites. And unlike streaming services that screw the artists AND charge the consumers on a subscription model, DKFM is free to listen and gives a voice to the underrepresented independent artists in shoegaze , dreampop, and beyond. Tune in. Buy their cool merch. Tell your friends. Support on Patreon. Keep a good thing going. (No I don’t work for them. Just a grateful fan of over a decade now.)

Music: Delivers what it promises. If you’re interested in the genre at all, this is your new home. And the Wednesday night lineup in particular is required listening. Enjoy.

App: Continues to improve. Lost the ability to “unlove” a song, which means that favorites list can get pretty long after a while. Signal hasn’t dropped mid-listen in over a year.
