DKM Graf Spee is a Naval Wargame. You are in charge of the Royal Navy squadron and your task is to neutralize the German Pocket Battleship. You can also pass and play with a friend, one of the player will command the German Pocket Battleship DKM Graf Spee, the opponent will be in charge of the Royal Navy Squadron.
KM Graf Spee 1.5 is adding 4 new scenarios: Those new hyphotetical scenarios are located in the Feroe gap. The DKM Graf Spee is on his way back to Germany and need to evade the British forces.
The pocket battleship has been sighted in the South East of Iceland and the Admiralty is sending the Force in stand by in interception. It is winter and days are short at those latitude so you have limited time to find the DKM Graf Spee and initiate the fight.
Version 1.5 is also introducing turns with variable duration, 1minute (default) 5 minutes and 30 minutes. When the duration of the turn is greater than 1 minute, the application will still run an update minute by minute and will stop as soon as there is a visual contact wth the Graf Spee. From this moment the game will progress with 1 minute duration.
This feature is extremely useful in scenario 12 and 14 where the DKM Graf Spee has been spotted quite away from the British units. In those scenario you will need to cover the largest area possible and rake across the sea in front of you to intercept the German unit.

For those who know about real WWII ship actions
This is naval chess in one minute turns. Set your course and decide how to use the guns. Move forward a turn and find out out how clever (or not) you were. People who like "World of Warships" will hate this game. It is not an unrealistic, nautical "shooter." The player must gauge from the behavior of the enemy ship (is it losing speed? are the guns getting straddles? is it trying to flee under smoke?) what to do, and make adjustments based upon the status of the ships in his force. This is a brilliant design. In real naval battles of this period, hits were not always discernible. There were no huge Hollywood explosions for hits which did not explode a magazine. This game is marvelous.
More scenarios, please!
I like turn-based games. The game doesn’t have to be a first person shoot ‘em up for me to like it, but this game is really boring. The results of the turn “action” are in tersely worded after action reports. Your commands to the ships are rudder heading, speed, aircraft launch, and a couple different ways to fire the gun. The two displays are a plan position indicator and an overhead of the ship that doesn’t change in any meaningful way. Not much happens most turns. Eventually you win or lose, but are somewhat perplexed why, since you got so little feedback during the game.
It is not an arcade game, it is much closer to miniatures games like Command at Sea and the other games from Admiralty Trilogy Group. What is missing is a scenario editor & creator please!
