Not much content app buggy and crashes

I want to watch variety and other fun shows but this has almost exclusively dorama and seems to be going after the K-POP and Kdrama viewers out there but why? That audience speaks Korean and won’t come here. It would be better to have many categories of shows like variety or documentaries. I used to get Nhk on demand before they blocked kaigai with VPN and that was much better content. Even the dramas were better. Also content seems to disappear. In the ad for this app the picture of familiar Massan appears but in the app it was nowhere. I never finished watching it so I was disappointed. The price is fair but they need more shows and less bugs. The Apple TV app works but the iPhone doesn’t. When will I finally be able to watch Japanese shows in America legally? There is a market for sure but nobody seems to be able to bring it about. I will stay a subscriber because I’m desperate for content. Hoping someone shakes up this market

Great concept, extremely limited content

I subscribe to TV Japan through cable and am really hoping that I can finally get rid of cable and go HD and digital with this new product. However there is barely anything available, no current season dorama or variety show, not even the popular NHK documentaries or kids programming that your would expect from a company that is affiliated (or owned?) by NHK. The app itself is fine, and appreciate the future enhancements in Apple TV and Roku compatibility (though chromecast would be even better), but unless there’s actual content, this is not even worthy as a free app, never mind $10 monthly subscription fee. Deleting until they 100x their content with in season content.

Limited library, broken chrome cast

Love the concept, but as others have said the actual library seems a little weak for $9.99 compared to other services like Netflix that also have English subtitles. They have slowly been adding content so I am keeping my subscription in hope of the future.

There is an issue with chrome cast though, I consistently have issues where a video will repeat the last 30 seconds to 2 minutes over and over again at random intervals, making it unwatchable so I can only watch on my phone or PC. Hope that this is fixed soon.
