Do I Snore or Grind +17

Thanks for this application and it works well for my first night trying it. This application offer snore and grind recording. Also a smart wake up Alarm. Improvement might be a pause play option on recordings, expansion of the chart for easier line selection. Not sure if there is a way to extract the data for a sleep study doctor or something. This type of application to me should be includes with a calendar, scheduling and health application that does it all. If it stays a free app and continues to work as well as it did the first night then it likely deserves a five star. I give it a five for the few missing options. I’d give most of these types of applications less than five for not being an app that provides a central place for all the other things mentioned. Yet I would at this point recommend this application.

I’ve been told I snore.. interesting to hear the variety of snoring through the night based on positions of sleep, & makes me more aware in case I need a cpap in future. But most importantly I also have proof now that I don’t grind my teeth & the fractures at the base of my teeth my new Dentist noted last few visits (and wanted me to buy a $200 custom night mouth guard) telling me I grind teeth at night (which I doubted). I told her a few years ago my bite was ruined by another dentist & THAT has been my problem. I can’t comfortably bite down without my jaw shifting to the left to seat my teeth. Over the last 5 years I’ve adjusted to having a bad bite.. by keeping my jaw slack but chewing is obviously the problem. A few dentists I’ve tried since have said repairing my bad bite means grinding down what I know is 3/4 of my natural teeth surface to fix it. That’s insane. Id only be interested if they agreed to build back only the tooth surface area the Dentist ruined 5 years ago. But now due to this app I know the bad bite is causing the fractures of the base of my teeth, not grinding. I’m 60 & have all my teeth with no caps, no root canals.. nothing but fillings. I had previously figured even with the bad bite I could keep all my teeth for life but the bite is apparently causing fractures that are now problems, so I want to discuss other options with the Dentist or find one who will listen. Who knew a sleep app could solve an issue with my teeth.

This app is great- when it works. It records all sounds so that you can know if you really do snore or not. It hears very well- so much that I can hear how often I roll over while sleeping. My friends who have the app and I have had many laughs sharing and comparing our bad snoring nights. It would be a great tool for someone who needs to know if they (or their sleeping partner) has sleep apnea. The only problem is that lately- like the last 9 times I’ve set it to record- it just turns itself off, so there's nothing in the morning when I want to listen. It had done that occasionally over the last six months, so I wondered if I bumped my phone during the night or something, but now it’s clear that it IS recording (I can SEE the red light/button at the top of the phone when it has started), and then after I go to sleep, it just stops, so there’s no recording at all. It’s very frustrating, because I want to know if the expensive air purifier I bought last month is helping me sleep better or not. Do I Snore has not recorded once since I got the purifier, so I have no idea. Since I now have a real reason (not just to laugh at myself!) to want to hear my snoring, I’m really disappointed that it’s not working. Therefore, I can only give it two stars.
