doce is a D.C. based experience-gifting app with a ~ sweet twist ~
We help people send each other pick-me-ups from local businesses that they can swing by and enjoy at their own convenience. Support your favorite local shops while turning kind thoughts into sweet gestures!
How does it work? Happy you asked! Explore local spots, choose a thoughtful gift, write out a kind message, and send the recipient the gift directly to their account so that they can use to savor the gift whenever they’re nearby, free, and would appreciate it most.
Need a little inspiration? Send someone a cherry blossom eclair when they’ve completed a project or their favorite hazelnut macchiato if they’ve had a rough day. Your friend slipped and fell in the wharf sprinklers? Not again! We’ve heard sending them a dance class really takes the edge off and keeps them graceful.

Doce is a game changer for gifting
As someone who enjoys giving well thought out gifts, Doce has really been a game changer. As opposed to sending a gift card or delivery to a friend, I feel like I am sending my friends an experience.
I really enjoy the emphasis on small, local businesses as well. I can curate a gift from the unique and interesting menu of a local cafe and then send my friend to explore the cool new cafe location while they go to pick up their gift.
One of my friends recently got out of the hospital and using Doce, I sent him a thoughtful “get well” gift that he can pick up at his own convenience.

doce!! the app i didn’t know i needed
i love sending little pick-me-ups to friends for all sorts of reasons but it’s usually via snail mail or a boring monetary amount sent in venmo, memo line “coffee on me”
i know my friend’s favorite spots and now i can send them super personal gifts and treats while supporting local businesses.
