This app continually crashes and fails to import a full set of pages over 150. Disappointed. Needs updates.

Hi Kerrie, We’re still working with you through email@example.com. You said you were able to import an 8,000 page document without any issues, but a small 10 page document is giving you a problem. We believe it’s an issue with that particular 10 page document so please reach back out to us with answers to our inquiries.
Good idea, but still not perfect.
I bought this app thinking that it would be a one stop shop for the function of Notability and the organization aspect and integration of TrialPad. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Using the Apple Pencil is almost worthless. There is no palm rejection, handwriting looks like it was drawn with a mouse instead of a pen, and it consistently lags behind the Apple Pencil.
I use TrialPad and it may very well be the best trial/client presentation app available. DocReview Pad? Not so much. I can still integrate my handwritten notes from Notability (exported as PDF) into Trial Pad, but I was hoping to be able to use DocReview Pad for this same purpose. The handwriting aspect makes that impossible.
I gave it 3 stars because I see the potential, but the advertising and reviews written about this app are misleading when it comes to the Apple Pencil and handwriting capability. Here's to hoping I can get a refund of the $90 I spent only to find out Notability is better.

Thanks for your constructive review about DocReviewPad, and your compliments about TrialPad! DocReviewPad was never designed or meant to be used as a note taking tool, for that you should indeed use Notability (a very good app, and widely used in education for the features you mentioned). There are many different ways that attorneys and legal professionals review documents. Some prefer printed paper with a highlighter and pen, others prefer expensive and complicated desktop software (that have no pen tool at all). With DocReviewPad we tried to find a great balance between the power of computing and the simplicity of paper, while making it intuitive and mobile. We wanted to focus DocReviewPad on the important features for an attorney or legal professional to review documents: easily applying Bates numbers; assigning Issue Codes; marking documents with Tags (such as Confidential, Privileged, etc.); highlighting certain portions of pages; adding typed Notes that appear in-line with the documents and Bates numbers in useful reports; creating Production Sets; exporting subsets of documents straight to TrialPad and automatically organizing them into folders; and many more features. None of these features can be found in general note taking apps that have great handwriting recognition. We will continue to add new features and improvements to all our apps and appreciate our users feedback. Contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
App is essentially useless if you are working with a large document production. Repeated crashes, hang ups, and cumbersome interface. Might be ok for a small case use.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
