Needs to be modernized and consistent
I hate writing negative reviews, but this app and any online banking has been extremely frustrating. It locks me out constantly and I have to call to get it unlocked (voice mails and emails aren’t returned). The app and the website have 2 different passwords -as does their small business credit card. I really wish there was consistency and modernization across all of their platforms. It’s very frustrating as a business owner. I love working locally with other businesses, but these issues have had me looking at other banks.
No Remote Deposit
Months ago, I went to deposit a check using Cash Analyzer via remote deposit on my iPhone and found that the camera in the app showed only a black screen. When I called Dollar Bank I was told this was a “known issue” and that I would need to physically take every check to the bank. It’s been six months with no fix for this issue. The lack of attention to their technology makes me seriously question the security of the bank in this day and age.
Firstly, the app has been sitting at its current version for at least 2 years as of the writing of this review. That’s your first red flag. Secondly, when I opened it up, it was clearly not designed for my current phone, as the screen didn’t fit. Thirdly, it could not validate my credentials. Apparently the app uses a different one. This is a terrible user experience from the get go. Dollar Bank’s digital team should be ashamed.
