Dominate Life 4+

I’ve played games forever and I’ve always been envious of that track able source of progress. Knowing that my skill in whatever needs to be at this rank to achieve the next goal has always been something I’ve daydreamed about.

I set about searching and found this app. This app lets me configure realistic goals to rank up my Skills (such as guitar) which contributes to my attributes (such as musician). When I level up my next skill (drums), and see how much progress I’ve made as a musician I can associate achievements and real world rewards to increase my incentive. Then, when I worry about playing on stage, I may remind myself of my musician level and maybe my ‘guts’ level, and find more confidence.

As someone with anxiety, adhd, and laziness - this is THE motivator I needed to better myself. The developer is approachable and friendly as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this app.

This is a great task and habit tracker for people who enjoy level-up aspects found in RPG video games and tabletop games like D&D. You create quests (tasks) and upon completing them, your skills and attributes increase, which are all customizable. Think of it as your own personal character sheet for yourself. The developer is actively pumping out new features on at least a monthly basis, it seems, which is just awesome! It’s a different take on the Habitica-style of gamifying tasks, focusing on tracking the time and effort you put into tasks and habits through leveling up and building your skills and attributes . It takes some time to set everything up, but it’s a great motivational tool having real life RPG mechanics added to your life. I hope to see a web browser variant some day so I can use the app on both my phone and computer.

This app was dying for widgets and you finally added them! This app is almost perfect. In my opinion the only things that could make this app any better is more customization options, & potentially a social aspect to it; although I’m not sure how that would work, it may not even be a possibility. Regardless, Dominate Life is amazing, it’s helped me be productive, while having fun, for months now. I’m looking forward to the future of this app :)
