Description

YOU ARE A MAD SCIENTIST

In DOOMSDAY, you are a simple scientist with a simple dream - ruling the world, with the help of a giant laser cannon mounted on a spider-legged robot. Over the course of 15 levels, you'll need to defeat the pathetic fools standing between you and world domination, from teenage bullies to military commandos to forest witches to the mighty Kongclops. With your inventory of unique components and powerful artifacts, you’ll assemble the ultimate doomsday device and demolish everyone in your path.

EXCITING CARD HIJINKS

DOOMSDAY is a single-player card-slinging roguelike adventure that will feel familiar if you've ever played deck-building games like Magic: The Gathering, Slay The Spire, Balatro or Marvel Snap. You’ll find, however, that the gameplay is less dependent on combat, and more focused on synergy between your cards and artifacts as you build your superweapon from scratch again and again.

The goal of each level is to gain enough points to overcome a powerful enemy in your path. Over the course of seven turns, you’ll play cards that increase your power - crazy component cards that become pieces of your doomsday device, or surprising action cards that can make those pieces stronger. Each enemy has a unique effect that can trip you up, and you'll need to make use of tactics that are chaotic, random, some might even say "mad"...but by optimizing your deck and learning the weaknesses of your enemies, you'll find a method in the madness on your way to victory.

CRAFT THE ULTIMATE SUPERWEAPON

Between levels, you'll have the chance to add and remove cards from your deck, obtain special artifacts, or even go exploring on a side quest. You can choose from over 150 cards and 100 artifacts to make your deck more powerful….and the more you play, the more cards and artifacts you’ll unlock with rare, game-breaking abilities.

If you've never played strategy card games and find all this intimidating...don't worry, there's a tutorial mode that will walk you through the ins and outs of the game! The rules are easy to pick up, each round only takes a minute or two, and with a little math and a little luck, you'll find yourself racking up points and laying waste to cities before you know it.

NO ADS, NO LOOTBOXES, NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS EVER! Purchasing DOOMSDAY gets you the complete game experience immediately.

Very replayable, unique and fun

(EDIT) Something I’m noticing as I continue to play—Gravity Membrane seems to cause a bug! I keep picking it up because it seems like a solid choice, but then when the next round starts, the game never actually initiates my turn. Restarting the app lets me continue from the reward screen, but then of course I don’t get Gravity Membrane again!

(ORIGINAL REVIEW) Reminds me of how exciting it was to pick up a new phone game for a few bucks in like 2012. So much potential for distinct creative vision from individual designers before micropayments ate everything! Love the art style and the clever card interactions.

Amazingly fun!

A must try as I couldn’t put my phone away and stop playing! Heard about it while listening to the MSPH podcast, and happy I picked it up!

Great game suggestion by Mad Scientist Party Hour!! Can’t stop playing it.
