Description

The DoorBird App provides mobile access to DoorBird IP Video Door Stations. Using the app, you can see and hear your visitors in real time, speak with them or unlock the door. When visitors press your doorbell, you receive a push notification on your iPhone or iPad and can immediately answer your door – from anywhere in the world. The DoorBird can also send instant alerts when a visitor triggers the built-in motion sensor. No matter if you are at home or not, you will never miss a visitor or a delivery.

DoorBird's innovative IP technology was developed in Germany and is continuously improved through regular app and hardware updates. The system works in your local network (LAN) as well as outside of your home network environment without range limitation and securely encrypted over the Internet.

Has been reliable but make sure you install properly

I have two units setup on our system. Both work perfectly. I would highly recommend hardwiring these devices to your network. Using a wireless connection add additional chances of the unit not operating as intended.

Not the best

So, i have had this for a year now and not impressed. It is finicky. It will disconnected and then i miss parcel delivery’s. Or friends will have to call me to open the door. Just out of the blue. Every once and awhile. I have to switch the power off in the panels and on again and do the whole reboot. That added feature in the app to avoid that, does not work. The thing that really is a bummer is that when someone buzzes, it takes awhile to answer. Run to the phone , unlock the phone, wait for the app to boot up. Most deliveries are gone by then and they throw the package over the fence. Thanks! Grrrrr. I put a sticker on the doorbird to tell people to give me 15 secs to answer. It is not great. I recently activated the recording feature and hate it! I thought maybe i did something wrong. Like most, i do not want to be on notice every minute. Just record the activity and i will look back if needed. Nope. You cannot do it. Either you get a notice and then it records, or you turn the notice off and you get no recordings. I would not recommend this product.

Expected more from device

The app is very easy to use and it was easy to setup but the performance of the connection between device & phone app is puzzling. Our gate is not able to function during parts of the daytime from early morning to late afternoon, but come the evening & night & it is able to work. By work I mean the cam image is working & the buttons to talk & work the latch mechanism function. The phone app displays the system is on. But during the morning the images from cam are not visible & the connection to the gate device is offline.
