You can stop searching now

An absolutely fantastic local music player, and one of the very few of it’s kind in the App Store (especially without trackers and ads). I just got through adding a slimmed down version of my large music collection to my phone to use with this app, so please keep up the great work, not sure where I’d go without it.

Works great, looks great, and has some great features that are hard to find on non-desktop music players. Basic editing of track and album info, really smooth album art finder, and Spotify-esc listening reports that are stored device only.

At its current state it’s pretty much the best there is if this is the kind of app you’re looking for. Hope to see it continue to improve and get the attention it deserves from folks who would rather use locally stored music than streaming services.

Thoughtfully designed and a pleasure to use.

Doppler 2 is the best app I’ve used for wrangling hi-res music on my iPhone. I don’t know what I can say that I haven’t said in previous reviews. The app looks great, it’s well-designed, and everything works as intended. Right now, my gripes are extremely minimal. I’d love an option to disable the “Heart” feature. I don’t use it, and it takes up room where the song title should be in the UI. The song titles should also scroll if they’re too long for the screen’s width, or scale in another manner. Otherwise, this is perfection! And it keeps bettering better, too, because the developer updates regularly and is quick to respond to feedback. Love it!

Just what I needed

Looked for a long time for an iPhone app to play downloaded music on my phone. Mostly in the car, where the streaming apps’ CarPlay worked poorly for me. Tried several others but wasn’t satisfied. Then I saw Doppler added CarPlay and now it’s all good. Responsive developer quickly fixed a glitch with FLAC files. Two thumbs up!

Update: I love this app! I’m using it with headphones, or in the car with CarPlay. Both UIs are well thought out. Developer has continued to refine the app, and is a pleasure to communicate with. 👍
