Amazing. Free. Decided to go to the Kroger market at 8 pm while staying in downtown Savannah. Wait time was 25 minutes for a driver to come. Driver pulled up on time and I was notified by the app. Went to supermarket and bought snacks for the hotel room. Wait time for the return trip was only 3 minutes. And the only cost was the optional tip. But why wouldn’t you tip, the ride was free!

Have used the guys in a few cities, (Delray, Boca Raton & Aspen) have always had excellent experiences. The drivers have always been super friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and are always more than happy to take the time to help you figure out an awesome place to eat or have a drink. App works like a dream. Every once in a while there can be a long wait for a ride, but let's be serious, it's free! So if you're in some crazy rush or have a tight schedule to keep might want to pony up a few bucks to pay for an Uber, but even then you may wait a while. All in all keep up the good work Downtowner, each town you work in is a better place for it!

This is a wonderful service, and I wish my city offered the same thing. However, a friend of mine left a phone in a car and realized there is no phone number to contact anyone working for the Downtowner. We sent an email about the phone and received a reply that it was found and someone would call us at 5PM. We live 6 hours away and changed our plans to wait in Savannah, but no one ever called leaving us to drive home in the dark and in the rain. After someone finally called to ask about shipping the phone, she was extremely rude. Totally ignored and not valued in this situation. Someone only had to call. Very disappointed in the service being unable to call anyone and the total disrespect and disregard for people’s time.

Our hotel told us about this app when we arrived in Savannah and at first I was skeptical as I never heard of it and because she said it was free, we just needed to tip. I googled it and read that it was indeed a legit service so I immediately got the app and used it several times during our stay. The drivers we super friendly and the vehicles were clean. Hoping this will catch on and be available in many more cities!

I cannot express how much Downtowner has done for me. As someone who works downtown Savannah, and gets off very late in the evening, this service makes it very convenient and safe to make it to my destinations at night. As someone who also lives in the Hostess city and we see a lot of people who go out and drink, this service helps people make it back wherever they are safely. I sincerely hope the City of Savannah chooses to keep this program as a permanent part of pubic transportation.

I just recently learned about this free car service app Downtowner and it’s the most remarkable service I’ve ever experienced. I’m a server and bartender in Savannah and don’t own a car so when I get off work late I can easily get home for free! The pickup time is a remarkably quick and is going to save me so much money. I’m going to be telling everyone about this app so they can experience the same revelation that I have.
