Exactly what I need

Too many brews wasted trying different recipes and now I can sit back and enjoy my favorite roasts. Chromatic is my favorite (hope they bring back the Peruvian beans), so you already know they’re legit. Already my interest is piqued with the cbd coffee, maybe some chagga mushroom coffees up next?

Clean and User Friendly

Love the design of this app and its straightforward, simple user experience. Looking forward to the new coffee-centric features they’ll add in updates. (Do Cold Brew!!)

Why do you need my name?

Just starting to get into making coffee so I was excited when I saw this app. I read the description and it seems right up my alley. However, I ran into a huge road block on the second page. The app wanted my name. Why does a coffee making app need my name? So, I’m deleting this app because I’m unable to move forward past this step without providing my name.

On a quick UX tangent, the error message I received when trying to move past this step was unhelpful and condescending. Please explain to me why you need my name. What benefit do I receive by providing this information? Also, what’s your privacy policy? How are you protecting this information? Also, the error message ended with a, “You do have a name, right?”. My response to that is, you do want me to use your app, right?

Developer Response ,

Hello, thanks for the feedback. We were using name to personalize home screen earlier, but have decided to remove the step at user request. We are in the process of releasing an update now that will fix it.
