Not uploading movies

This software was working in acceptable way, but recently stopped uploading movies. I’m not sure if this is due to changes in the DroboPix app on the phone or the latest update of the service on the Drobo 5N. The support call I opened is not helping, so I guess we should hope for some future fix to arrive.

Totally messed up filenames

I imported over 2,000 images from my iPhone to the drobo this afternoon. It went pretty fast and I was pretty happy with how easy it was to set up. Then tonight I started sorting the items into folders with better names, since by default this app sorts them into Years, then Month sub folders.

At first I noticed things were a bit weird when the Month sub folders contained photos from multiple months. Whatever, that’s fine— every file has a time stamp name.

But then I started copying files into my own year/month folders, and I realized that all of them were wrong. It totally screws up the file time stamps. Some photos from December ended up with a June time stamp, some had the wrong year. Completely unusable.

I now have to delete all of these and re-import them manually. I’m deleting this app. Like most of Drobos other products, this one is long on promises and short on actual functionality.

Instant crash - wrong dates - anything work?

After letting the app sync 25,000+ images overnight (which appeared to be successful), the iOS app immediately crashes on launch. After doing a little bit of investigation, I looked at the file structure on my 810n and was very displeased to see the horrible mess that this app left. All the folders are by date have what seem to be random pictures not associated with that date. It’s all sorts of messed up
