Drone Pro Test Prep 4+

Great app to learn

This is a great app to get acquainted with the ever changing rules and regulations surrounding drones.
Even if you have no experience with drones this app is perfect for teaching you the basics and much more.
There is constant updating with new content being posted.
I really like the scenarios in app. They offer a real world application to the knowledge you learn in the app.

Misleading

That seems like a good test prep, but it’s listed as free and it’s implied that it is ad supported. I think he SHOULD charge for this, it seems like a great app, but I think that fact and the price should be made clear up front. It always bothers me when an app is listed as free, and then you have to pay for something after you download it. This one is a little diabolical in that you get going taking the test prep, and it’s not obvious that the time will run out and that you will have to pay. I’m not sure how much it costs because it apparently doesn’t say until the 24 hour trial ends. Another reviewer mentioned $79 for a three month period. I don’t know if that is it, but that seems really high for an app that is Half of the cost of a real test prep class

Thank you for your feedback, it sounds like you were enjoying the app. I think you may have missed the text next to the "free" button that says "offers in app purchases". This is a common model on the itunes store and, unfortunately, we don't have any control over it. We either charge up front or Apple calls it "free". We prefer to let you take a look and see if the app is the right fit for you before you spend any money. There is a countdown timer at the top of the screen showing you how much time is left in your 30 minute free trial. Our feeling is that if you don't know you want it after 30 minutes, its probably not the app for you. However, we feel it's even better than an in person test prep class because you can go back and refer to the material over and over again plus stay up to date with the content we are continually adding. WILLING 2 PAY

However, that willingness is predicated on a decision making process which begins with my assessment of value. You apparently agree. As the consumer, I REQUIRE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT AMOUNT I MUST PAY B 4 downloading. I never opened the course, because you violated my trust.

If you want to change how the App Store works, then that change should come from Apple.

Your app’s desktop looks clean, and I got amped up when I saw my DJI controller but alarmed by that “ticking time bomb” countdown. If I am going to add to my other FAA 107 Cert course...WHICH GAVE ME FIVE FREE COURSES TO EVALUATE PRIOR TO THEIR ONE YEAR PURCHASE WITH REDUCED PRICE REFRESHERS...then you would have to drop your price by 50% just to get me interested.
