Drop is a delightful little color picker for developers and designers.
Pick a color and it will be copied in your preferred format. It's that easy.
> Zooming Picker
Picking a one pixel border? No worries! You can freely zoom the picker in and out with your scroll wheel or trackpad.
Most color pickers (including Apple's) don't pick the exact color value because of reasons that we have to understand but you don't. Drop lets you pick the exact color by switching the color profile associated with the app you are picking from.
> Dark Mode
For all those fans of the dark side, we got you covered.
> Dock, Menu Bar, or Both
Some like their apps running in their dock, some like to run them in their menu bar. We got both covered. Right click the menu bar icon anytime to bring up the app.
> Touch Bar
That's right, get quick access to all your colors right from your fancy new Touch Bar. It's the most convenient way to have quick access to your colors. Ever.
> Just the formats you use
Quickly switch between the common formats you are actually going to need your colors copied into: HEX, RGB, Swift UIColor, Swift NSColor, Objective-C UIColor, and Objective-C NSColor.
Save colors for later in your color palette.
This app was built with more TLC than you can even imagine. It's those little details that make all the difference.
-NEW FEATURE: Added support to run in the dock or just in the menu bar
-Updated for macOS Catalina
-Updated the look of preferences
-The app now remembers the window location when the app is closed

So far so good
This seems like it will be a useful app. I think it will be much easier to use than the digital color meter built in.
So far my only complaint is that I'm not totally sure what to do with the profile option in the preferences pane. The app description makes it sound like it's all automatic, but the dropdown in preferences seems to imply that I need to pick one. Some more information on how this works and what we need to do with it would be much appreciated. Maybe a lengthy video is in order that explains the exact problem and what this app does to fix it.
I Have Been Waiting to See the Day
For the love of humanity, why wasn’t this invented years ago?! Color picking and pallet formation has always been a struggle for any of my design or development projects until now! From UI and web development to publiction and photo work in In-Design & Photoshop, this app delivers acurate color values while saving wasted minutes writing or typing hex-code values. My brain is happier and sticky note pad is fuller! Tapity, you guys are freakin’ geniuses and I was fully willing to pay the price for such a beautifully designed app. Keep it updated, and I’ll keep sending rave reviews!
Just got my MBA with Touch Bar today, and Drop is working as advertised. Very slick, and a great little utility for a webdev to add to his arsenal.
I haven’t dived in in depth yet, but it seems there’s no way to run the app purely headless (taskbar only) so that you can work with it when you need it without taking up space in your dock. It’d also be cool to see ‘bigger’ Touch Bar support in the future, such that your colors are paginated in the full app view, and can be scrolled horizontally in the Touch Bar.
Great little app, guys!
