Terrible app but competitive service

The app is truly atrocious in its reliability. There are upsides, the QR scanner is insanely fast and the interface is straight forward but the reliability is just mind boggling. I’ve had rides that totally get abandoned. Inability to end rides. Support always makes it right but the app developers owe the support staff a lot of beers, lunches, high fives for making their job so hard.

Confusing and convoluted

I haven’t been to KC in about a year but I usually get a bike share and enjoy the nice neighborhoods. This time I arrived to a new company running the service. They now have e-bikes, scooters and regular bikes. Went to the kiosk at Crown Center and the kiosk was out of order. No problem, the kiosk said download the app and use that to get a bike. Downloaded the app went thru the sign up process and come to find out you can only rent regular bikes from the kiosks, not the app. Walked to another kiosk, out of order, walked to a third kiosk, out of order. 3 calls to customer service in who knows where (not KC) with no help. Finally threw in the towel and tried to rent an ebike (with my free credit I got for signing up on the app). Scanned the bike, started to beep like it was unlocked but the lock wouldn’t open. Of course the app now showed the bike was rented to me so I had to go thru the process to return the bike.

Alas I’ve given up on riding a bike in KC. I’ll just sit in my hotel and get fat.

Horrible experience

I would rate 0 stars if I could. I have had 3 situations now where the “smart” aspects of this service are not smart at all. I am currently walking home from a 5 hour work shift which I rode a dropbike for 12 minutes to get to. The app will not allow me to end the ride so here I am being charged as the app follows me around with GPS. There is no live customer service and even the “report a problem” button crashes every time I click it. I have tried 10 times. This is the 3rd time I’ve had a bad experience with bikes either not locking or unlocking correctly. Terrible app. Too glitchy and it’s costing me money. User BEWARE.
