Better than AirDrop (sorry Apple)
I’ve recently used four different apps to do transfers. All had issues (if they worked). I was stuck with AirDrop which was too many steps and too clumsy for me. Open on both computers…blah…blah.
I used it begrudgingly.
Then I found DropCopy.
So easy. So instant. I’m in love!
Be sure to check out preferences. You do not need to set up destinations. Bonjour works fine. Mine are within feet of each other if that makes a difference. Or select not to use Bonjour and just set the destination to the other Mac name. The destination set up is much easier than it first appears.
I selected to show computer name along with user name as my name came up on each and that was a little disconcerning.
Seriously the best thing since sliced bread!
Been Around much longer than AIrDrop
It works better for transferring files, and can also transfer the content of ClipBoards
This app is fantastic for transferring files between computers…and it really works. You have to compress large files that do take longer, but hey, it’s so easy. Great program.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
