  • Keeping It Simple

I love using DuckDuckGo. It’s refreshing to have a search engine that helps protect your privacy and lets you see when sites attempt to track you. Being able to search for what you need without worrying about your data being collected, tracked, or sold makes a huge difference. It’s great to know there are companies that truly value user privacy and only share information when you choose to allow it. Thank you, DuckDuckGo, for putting privacy first.

  • Best search ever

    AARoses

This app is amazing. It’s easy to use, user friendly, and the AI can be set to any level you’d like (or turned off completely. It doesn’t save or share or even keep your data unless you request that it do so. So much better than the over-intrusive and constantly advertising main search engines. After using for a day, I made Duck Duck Go my main browser. It’s that good. Plus you can create your own custom photos from existing pics and DDG does not keep or share anything. Ever.

  • Better than Google

    Alexena Rain

I’ve pretty much used Google Chrome as my only search engine since 2012. Recently due to the new ai features implemented across many platforms but especially Google I just wanted a feature to turn off the AI and keep it from showing up when I’m trying to search. That’s why I turned to DuckDuckGo. I love it, layout out is easy to navigate, I was able to set the features to no ai ,and customize it for what I like out of my online experience.

  • Tabs Closing Unexpectedly

    The Cheesesteak Guy

I've been using this browser for close to 3 years. For the past few months, the tabs close without reason. If I cut something from an open tab and paste it to my iPad which only takes seconds, I return to the browser and my tabs have disappeared. This has been happening more and more unfortunately. There have been other times where I'm drawn away from the browser only to return later and see the tabs still visible. I'm going to use another browser immediately.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Can you confirm if you have auto-clear turned on in settings? In our app go Settings and then down to Data Clearing. Under "Automatically Delete Data" please check those settings match your requirements. Note that iOS can terminate our app at any time when it wants resources back for other apps and this counts as an App Exit. Hope that helps. Thanks.

  • They finally fixed the period after each word

    2trot

Today I noticed that the period appearing after every word in the browser’s search line is gone. Bravo! That was so annoying. Glad it’s fixed! 5 stars 🌟Previous review: So basically no change. Still getting periods after each word when typing in DuckDuckGo. Nowhere in settings to turn this off. Extremely annoying and the developers know about it but do nothing to fix it

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for letting us know. This was a known issue with an early version of iOS 26. Can you please ensure you're on the latest version of iOS 26 and if you still have a problem please get in touch again. Thanks!

  • It’s a nice browser!

DuckDuckGo has lots more features than google. I’m really glad you can choose to remove the ai overview (though I don’t like gen ai at all, it’s nice they at least give you a choice! Unlike google…) While using it, I discovered you can even change the font of results, scrolling and loading options, icon color, etc.. I love the customization features! And the user interface is good too. Overall, it really is better than google.
