I’m experiencing an outage right now. I reported it via text and text back said over 1,500 ppl are affected. Then I remembered I had downloaded the app so I opened it to see if I could see the outage info and updates. My app doesn’t detect that I submitted an outage until I resubmit it via the app. Also there is no outage map on the app?! And no updates. I found an outage map for Duke via a web browser but that one gets updated every 15 minutes and no sign of my outage that supposedly is involving 1,500+ ppl. After the debacle that was Duke’s communication with its customers during Hurricane Irma in 2017 (when we were without power and communication from Duke for over a week), I would have hoped that things would have improved. However, it seems that it hasn’t. Your text system seems to have the information so the app should be updated with the SAME info in real time. Otherwise, it’s useless. Please fix this. Thanks.

Duke energy is a scam corporation, who takes advantage of the average everyday family. Duke is stealing billions from Americans and it’s not right or fair. Y’all are the devil and embody every evil and corrupt in Our world. Your probably owned by some fascist, far leftist , racist, evil, corrupt, Democrat and even if you’re not whoever you are, you’re everything evil on this planet, ripping off and stealing from the poor the weak and every day family just trying to survive. Like my family who lives in a little teeny tiny 950 ft.² house with brand new hurricane roof windows and have an electric bill most of the year running between three to $500. It’s absolutely absurd. It’s absolutely ridiculous and it’s absolutely wrong.. And then when I bring it up and tell you all about it and I tell you about how your app that shows are usage does not add up you blow me off and ignore me or try to treat me like I’m an idiot that don’t understand what I’m looking at but I’m here to tell you I do and karma is well. She is a beautiful wonderful thing and I hope whoever is doing this at Duke every morning. Get your. I would love to be there when it happens to lose everything.

Being able to see how much usage is being used each hour is neat. However, where the energy is being used is not shown. The only thing the app provides is that much more than just using the regular website. It’s nice to have an app to sign in quick however for how much Duke Energy charges everyday (unless your on the energy fixed plan) it should be way more sophisticated. It’s obvious they didn’t want to use to much of their over priced energy for a decent app and it shows! I use apps for many things most apps if you click it will bring you to the next thing in less than 3 seconds. The waiting reminded me of AOL not quite as long however don’t put an app out for the public to use unless you’ve done a trial run like I said for the amount of money Duke Energy receives daily. I find this app to be quite disappointing.

I depend on my electric bill app to work at all costs. It’s my electric. I full understand when technical service is being done and they alert the customers when trying to log in or even via email that it may be down for some time, however I have not gotten that on the app or manually logging in online. Instead I get unable to complete, try again later, we’re experiencing difficulties etc. They have all the marketing in the world to keep sending me physical junk mail and email junk for more things for me to sign up to, yet can’t advise the customers when their service is down, rather if they know yet or not. I’m typically spammed as well from this app for leaving a review constantly when I am logged in, so I figured the one time since I couldn’t, I might as well finally leave my honest one now on my own time.
