It’s not easy to build a game that’s both ultra-challenging and extremely rewarding, but the creators of Dungeon of the Endless did a masterful job. Their roguelike strategy game dares you to drag a power crystal—the last remnant of your crashed spaceship—through a maze full of monsters without it getting destroyed. Learning how to survive attacks and use your defenses comes only through failure, and entering each new room grows wickedly tense. The exciting blend of dungeon-crawling and tower defense will keep you on edge from start to finish.
Not the least bit easy.
I love and hate this game. I keep trying and failing to get past room 11 on the first pod run through on "Too Easy" difficulty. It's just brutal!
I can't really fault a game for being challenging, but to mock the difficulty with a "Too Easy" difficulty setting that is absurdly difficult bugs me.
Obviously I'm missing something, but for Petes sake throw me a bone. The first dungeon on the so called "Too Easy" difficulty is impossible. Well so far after 27 tries of varying strategies.
At some point it's like a sanity test. When does it become insane to keep trying something designed to be impossible to complete? It is beginning to not be fun anymore.
Seriously, make the "Too Easy" difficulty setting actually passable at least on the first pod run.
What you need to know
This game is a port published on steam as a spin-off of the endless franchise and is rated mostly positive, so you know that this isn't some random money baiting tower defense. This game is quality made, comical, challenging, and filled with lore. The game has 2 difficulty settings which are humorously labeled "too easy", and "easy". For beginners, you will find you should play on "too easy" first. If you want guides to help show you the ropes, google it, there is a beginner's guide. There are no micro-transactions in the app, on top of that what used to be dlc content on steam is given to you already in this app for free. Overall, this is one of the best games you could possibly get in the ipad. DON'T listen to people who complain that the game is too difficult, it's really not that hard. I would know this because I have 88 hours dedicated to playing this game on my laptop. I bought the ipad version because of how cheap and fun it was. This is my goto time killer ipad/iphone-wise.
