Description

Dusk for Twitter brings the Twitter (now known as X) experience to the Vision Pro, offering a familiar and immersive way to browse your timeline, notifications, lists, bookmarks, and more. Featuring a beautiful translucent window, a native and customizable tab bar, and sleek, fine-tuned visuals, Dusk provides a seamless Twitter experience in any environment.

It enhances Twitter's website substantially by removing unnecessary clutter and eliminating window and layout limitations — allowing for your posts to appear as big as you want them to. It's also available for a quick launch right from the visionOS home screen, and you can choose from a set of custom icons as well.

Got any issues or feature requests? Dusk is constantly improving, so don't hesitate to hit me up on dusk@joogps.com.

What’s New

Version 1.3

The 1.3 update of Dusk finally fixes the recurring issue of the disappearing posts (aka the ghost timeline)! Your posts will remain right where they should be at all times. And I mean that. Because, of course, no one deserves to be ghosted.

Furthermore, this update also introduces a new "Text size" option menu where anyone can tune on the perfect text size (with extreme granularity)! Oh, and this setting lives in the revamped settings menu, which now displays all options in a unified list.

Thank you all again for your ongoing support and valuable feedback! I couldn't have done it without your support.

Really want to like it!

I do really want to like it and it has a lot going for it, but at the moment, event after the 1.1 update, it’s not usable. There’s no way to go back once you go into a thread and the app constantly refreshes when scrolling through your feed. Sometimes when you flick, it pulls almost as if there’s an iframe within the frame. Sometimes it just refreshes under normal scrolling. Unlike the iPad app, it does seem to select every element on the page (not necessarily a bad thing, but not needed for things like text that you can’t click)

Will update this review if these use-breaking things get fixed. Thanks!

Updated one more time: Back to 5 stars!

This is my second update to Dusk. The last remaining issue has been resolved and I’m happy to give this app the 5 stars it deserves. The developer is incredibly responsive and quick to provide fixes.

Currently this is the absolutely best way to interface with X… very clean interface with spatial menu elements that are quite satisfying. Scrolling is smooth and the timeline glitches are no longer there.

Overall, one of the best 3rd party apps on the AVP…can’t wait to see what features the dev adds next. Highly recommend. Well done!

Fantastic! Just what I needed

Just what I was looking for! I use X/Twitter a lot and now with Dusk I can finally use it on my Vision Pro. We need more apps like this to make Vision Pro better.
