Description

Catch your hidden emotions and grow them into plants. Dustbunny is a cozy pet & plant simulation and a mental health game about reconnecting with your repressed emotions. In Dustbunny, your repressed emotions have turned into shy little creatures. If you catch one and let it express itself, it can grow into a beautiful plant - some into extremely rare plants! Interact with plants to water, catch pests, mist, and much more. Get cozy with minigames like catching bubbles in your bubble tea, making cup noodles, and playing the Gameboi. Your room will become your safe space of rest, growth, and love.

There was always a void inside your mind, like a sinkhole. One day, you woke up inside the void.
You find yourself in a dusty, abandoned room, greeted by a friendly bunny who seems to hold the keys to the secrets of the room.

There are some things you can do while you're in the room.

⁕ Catch your repressed emotions ⁕
As you look around the dusty room, you might encounter Emotibuns - shy creatures that like to disguise as dustbunnies. They come from your repressed emotions, such as sadness, anger, anxiety, loneliness, and emptiness. They're extremely fast so you need to keep your eyes peeled and fingers ready! Once you catch and name an Emotibun, it will burst into its emotion and sprout into a plant. Each plant will have an ID card that logs your journey of care and growth.

⁕ Love your plants & yourself ⁕
What's your love language? There are over 20 different ways to love and care for your plants. Using Care Cards, you can do basic care like watering, catching pests, and feeding your plant, as well as actions like touching, singing, and writing to your plant. Each plant is one-of-a-kind and grows dynamically to communicate with you - they sparkle when healthy, get droopy when sick, and even jump out of the pots sometimes. As you learn to love and care for your plants, we hope to remind you to do so for yourself, too.

⁕ Collect rare plants ⁕
Each Emotibun sprouts into a unique plant species - it could be a common plant or the rarest unicorn plant. You'll be challenged to collect all the plants in the Plant Index. Rare plants have genetic mutation called variegation, which causes unique patterns on leaves. Advanced players can also unlock abilities to create one-of-a-kind hybrid plants.

⁕ Befriend Empathy ⁕
You'll be guided by Empathy, a friendly bunny with wings! Empathy will give you daily affirmations and stop by your room to share some wisdom about emotional regulation and self-love.

⁕ Get cozy with nostalgic objects ⁕
Every object is interactable. Play minigames with nostalgic objects in your room like bubble tea, plushies, and cup noodles. Some objects will help you relax; others will make you hold your breath!

⁕ Decorate your dream room ⁕
The in-game shop is updated daily with adorable decor options and furniture. You'll find anything from Ghibli-inspired cottagecore to mid-century modern. Create your dream room and share it with our community!

⁕ Complete your narrative ⁕
Uncover the story behind the room and the five emotions as you progress. You'll find yourself looking within to meet your inner child.

Adorable and Addicting!

This game is something very special, it is such an easy to play and cozy game that you can spend hours playing. I love the variety of plants and how cute all of the emotibuns/items are. This game has been helpful in thinking and processing hard things that I wouldn’t usually want to think about, as well as giving me something to go back to on the good days. DustBunny has quickly grown to become one of my favorite games and I am so excited to see the developments to come. In the future I would love to see new emotibuns such as Fear, Depression, Guilt, Happiness, Excitement, etc.. as well as more items, pots, and possibly the ability to obtain carrots from advertisements. I have yet to obtain a single carrot and have been playing for about a week and a half with all but 4-5 plants to be found, I spend hours playing this game at a time and it seems practically impossible to obtain a carrot without in app purchase. If new ideas arise I’ll put them here, game development takes a lot of time and tireless effort and I honestly can’t praise DustBunny enough for what it is at it’s earlier stages; I anxiously await future updates and new content :3

Coziest game I've ever played

I never write reviews but I had to for this game because it sincerely needs more attention. I've become so incredibly bored and fed up with mobile games recently but this game soothes me like no other. It is so peaceful, calming, and charming. There are no gimmicks or pay to win features, just cosmetics you can buy to support the game, but the things you can buy without real money are cute enough on their own.

I absolutely adore the concept of this game, I adore the aesthetic, the bunnies and Empathy are so extremely cute. I am genuinely attached to my plants. I let one go on accident and almost started crying. The mental health lessons are so charming and sweet. The mini games are so fun and cute and unique and I love how they are tied to the items you buy to decorate your room.

I really really look forward to seeing what else they add to this game. I haven't enjoyed a mobile game this much in years.

Love!! 🪴

Most plant games are either too complicated OR they’re very simple and lack any kind of customization, there’s no in between; at least in my experience. This game is different. I love the the way the plants sway, the shadows they cast, the colors, it’s all high quality graphics. I love that you can change their potting and place them wherever you like. I like how there’s more than one way to help your plant grow beyond just watering it. I love the mini “games” like the paper airplane & stacking books. It’s very easy to accumulate currency to achieve things & buy stuff you like. The music is soothing. Overall Its been a great experience. I love games where I don’t have to do a lot BUT I still have small tasks to complete. I especially love when I can decorate. The only thing I would “critique” is that the game should alert the user that the little green hearts you’re awarded need to be placed on the map in order to make progress. I didn’t know placing them would unlock other features until I found the map by accident and saw they had accumulated. Never reviewed a game before but after a notification asked me in the game while customizing my room I though it was time lol.
