Earth 3D Lite 4+

This is such a cool idea, and it is executed really, really well. It's fascinating to watch the Earth slowly spin, and it puts into perspective a person's place in the world when you try to comprehend the vastness of the planet. One thing I really like is that the globe is depicted in any orientation, not just with "North" pointing "up," so sometimes it's challenging to identify the land mass/ocean you are seeing when you are not seeing them in the usual North/Up view. It's so mesmerizing to watch you won't want to wake your Mac out of screensaver mode! Highly recommended.

Hugely educational - when the earth is rotating it gives you a feel for how much our perception of land mass shapes are determined by all of those flat school maps - I find myself looking just to figure out exactly what I am looking at. Also, the ability of this app to provide a moving image as the desktop instead of simply a screen saver makes this a must have on all my Macs.

I downloaded this in anticipation of finding a new "ScreenSaver" for my computer. Although the imagery is great, it's not a screensaver that can be used AS a screensaver. The only way that it can be used AS a SCREENSAVER, is if the app is active. It cannot be imported, and/or installed into my computer system, software for the screensaver. This same observation also goes for the "Lost Watch 3D App." Neither of them are screensavers even though they are listed and claimed as screensavers. Disappointing, and I uninstalled and deleted both programs... Also, to get other features, you are expected to pay for them. All you get is a basic program that really amounts to nothing much at all. This is crap!

Hello! Thank you! To be honest since the version 3.0.1 we made a looot of fixes. Yes, our wallpapers are not actual screensavers, but it is all because of the store policy. There is just a little difference that separates our wallpapers from the system screensavers - our wallpapers have a "screensaver mode". Moreover - if you click on "Hide Wallpaper", you won't even notice whether it run or not, the app will work in the "screensaver mode" only and run automatically after the settled period of time.
And one more secret is about to be revealed here - we are in the process of making our wallpapers into the system screensavers.
