Just Love this app! Except...

There are many things I just love about this app. I love how easy it is to use. I love that I can have both my herbal and formula book right there at my fingertips at all times while I’m in the clinic and that it integrates both books so that I can quickly look up each herb in a formula if needed when customizing a formula. The thing that bothers me the most is the inability to highlight, underline or make notes. If this were a feature it would help greatly as there are times when I find interesting tidbits in the commentary but have to read the entire thing again to find out where it is.

Three years ago I gave this app only three stars because some of the book material was not included, and there was no index. Now the updated version has powerful search features that are better than an index, and it includes all of the book material. It’s a much more useful app now. Chinese herbal medicine is a lifelong study, and I love being able to go deeper anytime I want. Never miss an opportunity to learn because you don’t have 20 pounds of books in your pocket. Here they are, right in your phone or tablet. Thanks, Eastland Press!

Thanks for your comments. Please check out the latest version (3.4) with improved navigation and a powerful advanced search function. Think you'll find that the content is much richer and more accessible than other tools on the market. Chapter and section introductions are included if you use the book format.

My eyes are kinda old

I love that I can get all of the content of the Material Medica and Formulas and Strategies for about a third the cost of buying both while only weighing as much as my iPad. Search ability and links to herbs and formulas from the text are wonderful tools. The only reason I haven’t given five stars is that not all of the links work, and for the life of me, I can’t find a way to change the size of the type. I would love to be able to enlarge the type within the app to make it easier for me to read.
